This position integrates knowledge, theory, and training to properly execute procedures in assigned areas of the laboratory. As a member of the laboratory team, the assistant works cooperatively with physicians, clients, and staff to facilitate superior patient care and to represent the laboratory positively by acting with courtesy, dignity, respect, and professionalism. Employees may handle hazardous drugs, including managing, storing, preparing, receiving, unpacking, transporting, disposing of, or administering drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by NIOSH and in accordance with USP 800 guidelines.
