Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Role Purpose This position provides Anatomic Pathology services under the direction and supervision of a pathologist. The Pathologists' Assistant works independently using the medical knowledge to perform human specimen examination for diagnosis and patient treatment. The Pathologists' Assistant functions in support of and as an adjunct to the physicians in Pathology.
