Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have focused experience in Drafting and prosecuting utility and design patent applications in Computer/electronics arts (e.g., software, AI/ML/LLMs, telecommunications, integrated circuits, semiconductors, audio processing, batteries and charging systems, power generation, etc.) and/or Mechanical/electromechanical arts (e.g., aerospace, space, consumer products, medical devices, etc.).
  • Candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office.
  • If an attorney, candidates should be admitted to practice in California.
  • Candidates with a degree or an advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering and/or computer science are preferred, although candidates with degrees in mechanical engineering or other relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Strong experience drafting complex patent applications in any of the technical areas listed above is a plus.
  • Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, be comfortable working directly with clients, and possess strong writing and analytical skills.
