About The Position
A prominent Am Law 100 intellectual property practice is seeking a Patent Agent to join its Electrical Engineering and Software Patent Team. This team works with sophisticated clients across telecommunications, semiconductors and software industries on complex patent preparation, prosecution, and portfolio developmenThis role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge wireless communication technologies, including inventions related to 5G, 6G, and evolving telecommunications standards. Candidates with prior experience in semiconductor or chip design engineering environments will find this role particularly attractive. The team collaborates closely with innovators, engineers, and technology companies developing next-generation communication systems and advanced hardware platforms. Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- 2+ years of patent prosecution experience
- Registered with the USPTO (or eligible to register)
- Strong academic credentials

Responsibilities
- Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications
- Evaluate invention disclosures and assess patentability
- Draft claims and respond to USPTO Office Actions
- Conduct Examiner interviews
- Work directly with inventors and attorneys
- Assist with patent portfolio strategy and management
