About The Position

This role is critical to maintaining the security and compliance of our IT environment by ensuring timely and effective patching of workstations, servers, applications, and systems. The technician will collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate patching activities, minimize disruptions, and meet organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in systems administration or IT operations with a focus on patch management.
  • MCSE or equivalent professional certification

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Computer Science preferred
  • A+, Network+; Microsoft Certified Desktop Technician (MCDT) certificate desirable
  • Current ITIL Foundations certificate

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute patching activities across Windows, Linux, and other operating systems.
  • Apply updates to enterprise applications, third-party software, and system components.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to schedule and validate patch deployments.
  • Monitor patch compliance and generate reports for internal stakeholders and audits.
  • Troubleshoot patch-related issues and escalate as needed.
  • Maintain patch management tools and automation scripts.
  • Stay current with vendor patch releases, security advisories, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in developing and refining patch management policies and procedures.
  • Support vulnerability remediation efforts in collaboration with the information security team.
