Description of Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant in Pre-Admissions Testing provides support in conjunction with the Pre-Admissions Testing staff, OR staff, and patients throughout the operative day. This position generally works Monday – Friday between 8AM – 4:30PM. Responsibilities include and are not limited to: Assist Nursing staff with chart requisition Scan surgical chart contents into EHR Following organizational policies and procedures. Establishing and maintaining and effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public Exercising good judgment, initiative, and using problem-solving skills Communicating professionally with internal and external contacts and patients Paying attention to detail and consistently producing an accurate work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment is essential Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office is required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrated ability to speak clearly and concisely using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
