The beautiful Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort and Spa is looking for a Pastry Cook to join the Pastry team at Signature Restaurant! Overlooking the rolling hills and majestic live oaks of the Hill Country, our tranquil resort offers over 140,000 sq. ft. of elegant event spaces, a luxury spa, multiple outdoor swimming pools, kid’s camp, and an 18-hole golf course. Our four restaurants and five bars offer a range of dining options, from casual to gourmet. They should have a strong understanding of pastry techniques, be detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining consistency in both flavor and presentation. The candidate must be comfortable working collaboratively with the kitchen team, managing time efficiently, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and organization. What will I be doing? As a Pastry Cook, you would be responsible for all dessert plating as well as preparing, producing and baking all pastries, breads, rolls and desserts for Signature Restaurant in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Responsibilities

Prepare and produce a variety of desserts, petit fours, and breads in alignment with the restaurant's fine dining standards
Execute precise plating of desserts according to the Pastry Chef's standards
Maintain mise en place and ensure readiness for service, including preparation of sauces, garnishes, and decorative elements.
Ensure timely execution of all pastry items during service, maintaining composure and efficiency under pressure.
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
