In it's reimagining, the 407 room downtown hotel recalls a grand European home. Specializing in baked goods and desserts, pastry cooks are the scientists of the kitchen. Precision, consistency, and creativity are the name of the game, and a Pastry Cook is master of these traits. Responsible for the production and presentation of breads, cakes, and pastries, and other delectable, this individual enjoys being a part of a team dynamic and is adept at following directions and communicating with the chef team.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Pastry Cook highly preferred.
- Innovative and creative personality.
- A passion for all things pastry and confectionary.
Responsibilities
- Preparing ingredients an handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
- Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
- Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation
- Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment when needed within budget
- Setting up, cleaning, and organizing a workstation
