About The Position

Pastry Cook - Full-Time, Year-Round Have a passion for pastry and an eye for detail? Chevy Chase Club is looking for a talented Pastry Cook to join our Culinary Team and help create exceptional desserts for our members' everyday dining and special celebrations. In this role, you will assist the Executive Pastry Chef in all aspects of pastry production throughout the Club, including the preparation of baked goods, frozen desserts, plated desserts, and specialty cakes-up to and including four-tier wedding cakes. This position offers variety, creativity, and the opportunity to work in a high-standards private club kitchen. What we're looking for

Requirements

  • Pastry degree preferred, or 2+ years of equivalent experience in a private club or hospitality environment
  • Strong knowledge of pastry and baking techniques
  • Ability to read and execute standardized recipes using both imperial and metric measurements (in English)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining Club standards
  • Dependable, team-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret outlet tickets and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
