The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least two (2) years pastry experience in a professional kitchen in a high-volume operation

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an Apprenticeship or accredited Culinary School, preferred
• One (1) year of hotel experience, preferred
• Upscale / luxury dining experience, preferred
• LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES Maricopa County Food Handler Card
• ServeSafe Food Handler Certification, preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance.
• Wear proper uniform and footwear at all items.
• Consult your supervisor if you are unsure of tasks and procedures.
• Store all items in approved containers that are wrapped, dated and labeled.
• Follow food handler’s guidelines.
• Sign in and out on the authorized form.
• Have your supervisor initial it before leaving
• Clean all small equipment such as mixers, buffalo choppers, etc., yourself immediately after using them.
• Prepare items listed on production sheet.
• Rotate old stock out first.
• Ask chef if freshness is questionable.
• Date and label all items going into freezer and walk-in, clean as you go.
• Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others.
• Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
• This position is Full-Time.
• Must be available to work days, weekends and holidays.
• Work schedule will be 6:30am - 3pm.
