About The Position

This role is responsible for the production of baked goods and pastry preparation for banquets and all F&B Outlets. Pastry Cook 1 would also assist with leading the pastry team and training new hires. Essential Functions Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Ability to run the shift with minimal supervisor in addition to training and guiding new team members. Participates in production and quality of baked goods such as breakfast pastries, breads, cakes, cold desserts, and other various pastries to meet resorts’ standards. Must be able to follow the recipes and measure the ingredients correctly. Operates all commercial kitchen equipment and bake shop equipment correctly and in a safe manner. Fills out food requisitions to order baking supplies from Purchasing. Must be able to self-manage projects. Responsible for multiple BEOs and/or multiple outlet production. Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at workstation and other work areas. Assist in training new employees, as needed. Assists in continually teaching pastry skills to other pastry cooks. Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Experience in Pastry/Bakery is required
  • In compliance with California laws, Current Food Handlers Certification is required
