About The Position

As a Baker at our iconic hotel in Whitefish, Montana, you will be responsible for crafting local Montana favorites to fuel our guests in their explorations. This position involves baking and creating items for the dining room, employee dining room, and coffee shop, as well as ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of baking and prep areas. You will also assist with special events and be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties. This role is dynamic and requires a commitment to teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• 1-2 years baking and pastry production experience required
• Patisserie/Culinary degree or training preferred
• Ability to accurately plan, cost, and manage food costs & controls
• Strong work ethic and commitment to the team and guest
• Willingness and ability to work solo or as part of a team
• Commitment to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards
• Organized with a great eye for detail
• Good communication skills, always suggesting ideas and solutions
• Helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile
• Relaxed, flexible and able to handle unexpected situations
• Ready to have fun

Responsibilities

• Bake and create items for dining room, employee dining room, and coffee shop
• Help create pastry/dessert specials for sale in dining room and bar
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of baking and prep areas and equipment used by baking team
• Keep record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicate details to supervisor
• Assist as needed with set up of rooms for special events, meetings, conferences and banquets
• Offer assistance to guests and teammates where needed
• Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties
