The Pastry Cook/Baker will assist the Pastry Chef in the production of all bakeshop products, including cakes, breakfast pastries, bread, ice cream, and confections, for all GHG hospitality group outlets. This role involves aiding in the preparation and execution of breakfast parties for the banquets department, preparing ingredients according to SOPs and recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The individual must adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, communicate effectively with the culinary team, and possess basic knowledge of cakes, custards, pies, and cookies. The position requires understanding and accurately following standardized recipes, efficiently executing demands in a high-volume kitchen, maintaining high levels of kitchen cleanliness and organization, and fostering positive working relationships with colleagues. Responsibilities also include participating in the breakdown and cleaning of bakeshop areas and equipment, and training new and current teammates.
