About The Position

White Elephant Resorts is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join the acclaimed culinary team at TOPPER’S at The Wauwinet , a Relais & Châteaux property and one of Nantucket’s premier fine-dining destinations. This role is ideal for a creative and motivated pastry professional who delivers exceptional quality and presentation. Requirements

  • 2+ years pastry experience in a fine-dining environment (preferred)
  • Food handling certification required
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end kitchen
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, and specialty items
  • Support daily production for fine dining, room service, and banquet events
  • Maintain strict cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
  • Follow recipes accurately; scale and adjust as needed
  • Assist with inventory, storage rotation, and minimizing waste
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team
