About The Position

We are looking for a Pastry Chef to lead our bread and dessert program. The right person will bring precision, consistency and creativity to work every day. Salary negotiable with experience. They have the ability to step into a lead pastry chef role, but they need an ownership team to give them a shot. Position Overview: As the Pastry Chef, you’ll be responsible for producing and overseeing the production of a variety of high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods. You’ll oversee the pastry department, manage prep and production schedules, and contribute to menu development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, dessert preparation, and flavor profiles
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead a pastry team
  • Creativity and passion for pastry arts

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary or pastry degree preferred, but not required
  • Food safety certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present a wide range of pastries, desserts, baked goods, and plated sweets. custards, ice creams, sorbets, sourdough and enriched breads, cakes and more.
  • Design and develop dessert menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and visual appeal of all pastry items
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper storage and rotation of ingredients
  • Oversee and train pastry cooks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry kitchen
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Stay up to date on pastry trends, techniques, and seasonal ingredients
