About The Position
Mighty Bread Company, a James Beard nominated wholesale and retail bakery located in East Passyunk, Philadelphia, is seeking a dedicated Pastry Baker to join our expanding pastry team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant and inclusive environment where creativity and passion for food are highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in bakery practices, particularly in commercial settings, and will be eager to learn and grow within our team. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and excellence, and we are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for baking and culinary arts. As a Pastry Baker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to our daily operations. Your day will begin early, with shifts starting between 4 AM and 7 AM, and will involve mixing dough, baking, and preparing a range of baked goods including cookies, pies, and seasonal items. You will also engage in lamination processes, scale ingredients for production, and assist with packing and cleaning duties. This role requires physical stamina, as you will need to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
