About The Position
The Pastor of Student Ministries at Sheboygan Evangelical Free Church is a full-time position responsible for overseeing all ministries directed towards students from Middle School (6th grade) through High School (12th grade). This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including outreach, discipleship, training of lay leadership teams, and organizing weekly activities, retreats, conferences, and special programs. The Pastor will work closely with the Executive & Adult Ministries Pastor and the Pastor of Kids Ministries to ensure a cohesive approach to student ministry and to develop safety protocols for children, students, and vulnerable adults. The position is designed to foster healthy, caring relationships among students and between students and their families, while also promoting personal evangelism and Bible studies to attract non-believing students. In addition to the direct oversight of student ministries, the Pastor will be expected to keep informed about current trends and resources in youth ministry, communicate regularly with church leadership regarding goals and challenges, and develop a student ministries advisory committee. The role also includes the expectation of personal growth, where the Pastor is encouraged to be a passionate follower of Jesus Christ, invest in their marriage and family, and practice good stewardship of their resources according to Biblical principles. This position is exempt, salaried, and of indefinite term, requiring a Bachelor’s degree and a commitment to the church’s Confession of Faith and Christian Lifestyle.
