Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be a team player and ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee will be required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work all shifts as training may be required for any second and/or third-shift operator needs.

Responsibilities

  • Running large machinery such as cooker stretcher.
  • Support troubleshooting of machinery.
  • Daily communication with Supervisors for developments and appropriate work requests to make repairs and/or improve the process.
  • Routine inspections of all working parts.
  • Cleaning of floors, walls, tools, etc.
  • Chemical safety workplace safety, and GMP training and practices
  • CIP and sanitation of equipment
  • Move carts of cheese curds and introduce them to the cooker.
  • Responsible for the production and quality of products coming from the pasta filata room.
  • Add back of ingredients described in procedures.
  • Comply with all Plant, State, and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
  • Comply with GMPs in the plant.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality system.
