This position reports to the Manager of Computing Technology Services and is responsible for overseeing the Providing Area Schools with Technology Assistance (PASTA) program. The role involves working closely with the Chief Information Security Officer to ensure data security best practices are consistently followed. Key aspects of the position include strong project management and organizational skills, coupled with technical proficiency in computer hardware management and inventory tracking. The PASTA Coordinator will be instrumental in developing relationships with K-12 school personnel to assess their technology needs and facilitate the distribution of surplus ETSU computers to regional public schools. This also entails managing the computer inventory, ensuring devices are properly evaluated, repaired, and meet quality standards before deployment, and overseeing the secure removal of all data to maintain ETSU's data security. The coordinator will also apply project management skills to efficiently coordinate program activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation, and generate reports to demonstrate program effectiveness and ensure compliance with university policies. Data-informed decisions will be crucial for determining the need and timing of computer distributions to best serve area schools.
