About The Position

Elia on the River is seeking a skilled Pasta Cook / Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are a high-energy Italian restaurant located along the Miami River, known for our coastal Italian cuisine, handmade pastas, and vibrant dining experience. This position is responsible for executing pasta dishes with speed, precision, and consistency during high-volume service while maintaining the highest kitchen standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a line cook or pasta cook in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong understanding of Italian cuisine and pasta cookery preferred
  • Ability to work quickly and stay organized under pressure
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook pasta dishes according to Elia’s recipes and plating standards
  • Execute orders quickly and accurately during busy dinner and brunch services
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to maintain quality and timing
  • Properly cook fresh and dried pasta to correct texture and doneness
  • Prepare sauces, garnishes, and mise en place for the pasta station
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station at all times
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
  • Communicate clearly with other stations during service
  • Assist with prep work and kitchen tasks as needed
