Role Overview The Pasta Associate is responsible for producing and processing premium-quality pasta in accordance with company standards for safety, quality, and consistency. This position involves operating traditional pasta-making equipment, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency throughout the production process, and supporting the overall success of the Pasta Department through teamwork and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Basic math and measurement skills for recipe and batch adjustments.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to perform job functions effectively.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time during production shifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Compliance with all safety and hygiene regulations, including wearing required protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in pasta production, bakery, or food manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with traditional pasta-making techniques and equipment.
  • Understanding of ingredient quality control and production efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor traditional pasta-making and packaging machinery.
  • Ensure the proper setup, operation, and sanitation of all pasta equipment.
  • Oversee daily packaging and production processes to maintain product quality.
  • Recover and handle pasta from the pasteurizer while ensuring food safety standards are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections of pasta quality, consistency, and moisture levels.
  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and production schedules accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Complete required production logs and documentation.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or product quality issues to the department manager.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, neatly groomed, and in proper uniform.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the manager.
