As a Passive Air Defense Engineering SME you will apply engineering expertise to the integration and evaluation of passive sensing systems. You will partner with other government organizations, commands, and agencies to design sensing architectures that minimize operational signature. Occasional travel, up to 25% is required.

  • Integrate passive sensors into joint air defense architectures without active emissions
  • Develop threat models, signal‑processing algorithms, and simulation tools for passive tracking/classification
  • Advise on performance metrics for low‑observable acoustic sensing and directed‑energy effectors
  • Lead SME workshops and table‑top exercises to develop and validate concepts of operations
  • Participate in operational test events and provide engineering analysis of results
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field—or equivalent experience
  • Five to nine years of passive sensing or sensor‑integration engineering experience
  • Hands‑on proficiency with signal‑processing and simulation tools for tracking/classification
  • Ability to translate sensor data into technical requirements and test plans
  • Proficiency with government test‑planning and data‑analysis processes
  • Willingness to travel CONUS as required
  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • Experience with JT&E or other operational test programs
  • Training or certification in radar/signal‑processing engineering
