As the Controller at New Moon Natural Foods, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial systems.   • Process vendor invoices, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely payments for Accounts Payable.
  • Coordinate bi-monthly payroll processing with the Director of People & Culture.
  • Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies for Bank Reconciliations.
  • Prepare and send invoices to customers, track payments, and follow up on overdue balances for Accounts Receivable.
  • Record and reconcile journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and assist with month-end closing for General Ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for Financial Reporting.
  • Issue 1099s, ensure compliance with all tax regulations, and coordinate with tax accountant for Tax Compliance.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets for Risk Management.
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities for Budgeting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions for Data Entry.
  • Maintain organized financial records and files for Filing and Organization.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in bookkeeping/accounting.
  • Proficiency in software such as Sage and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPA certification admired but not required.
