About The Position

The Passenger Services Agent is responsible for performing various airport and passenger service functions, ensuring a smooth travel experience for passengers. This includes making reservations, issuing tickets, checking baggage, and providing general travel information. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to handle customer inquiries and issues effectively while maintaining a high level of service and security.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to count money and judge distance accurately.
• Ability to stand and walk for an eight-hour shift.
• Willingness to wear a uniform as prescribed by the company.

• Ability to hear and respond to customers effectively.
• Computer experience is necessary.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities and good judgment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make reservations and issue tickets and itineraries.
• Compute fares and issue refunds as necessary.
• Check baggage and collect excessive baggage charges.
• Provide passengers with general travel information.
• Meet aircraft at the gate or loading area and assist with boarding and deplaning.
• Check passenger tickets for validity and complete necessary arrangements for passengers holding reservations and standbys.
• Prepare and check various flight forms for accuracy and manage post-departure procedures.
• Perform lost and found activities and process claims for damaged or lost baggage.
• Receive airfreight shipments and determine routing and classification.
• Maintain records of shipments and manage inventory.
