About The Position

Ready to put a train together? Siemens Mobility’s Rolling Stock team in Lexington, NC crafts the passenger rail vehicles that keep cities moving. With more than 160 years of innovation behind us, we pair modern automation with smart design to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation. Questions you might be asking What will I actually do? Build major coach assemblies—roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks/panels, air supply racks, and piping systems. Apply adhesives, align floor panels, and install windows and door assemblies so everything fits perfectly. Install insulation, sidewall panels, seats, and luggage racks. Route and connect electrical harnesses to subassemblies and final termination points. Tear down, modify, rework, refurbish, and rebuild components as needed. Follow production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts/wire lists, sketches, and verbal directions to produce electrical or electro-mechanical subassemblies. Handle small components with fine motor precision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent blend of education and experience—ideally from manufacturing, electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive, or electrical service settings.
  • Basic English communication (written and spoken).
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

  • Comfort reading blueprints/diagrams/parts lists is beneficial.
  • We value strong mechanical assembly capability.
