The position involves supervising and training Instrument Operators and Surveyor Assistants while leading the survey field crew. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and at elevations on structures. The individual will collect survey data and perform layouts in accordance with Bechtel Surveying Procedures, marking points of measurement with elevation, station numbers, or other identifying marks. Responsibilities also include operating survey instruments, compiling notes and records, and communicating effectively with Field Engineers and Supervisors.
