In a safe and cost-effective manner, and in accordance with all company policies and manufacturing procedures, a Partsmaker produces standardized component parts of the highest quality to fulfill shop orders for stocked component parts to help ensure our customers receive the best merchandise and best delivery possible. This is a 1st shift position - 6am - 2pm, Monday - Friday, with some overtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 months work experience in a production environment. Previous experience in a production position at CDC is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Computer skills sufficient to use company ERP system.
  • Working knowledge of industrial equipment used to produce rupture discs.
  • Willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Concern for quality, accuracy and safety.
  • Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, including peers, supervisors, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors when called upon.
  • Motor skills sufficient to successfully and safely use required tools and machinery.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for majority of scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, though possibly more when overtime is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a production position at CDC is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and work orders.
  • Perform layouts.
  • Use required tools and equipment, including, but not limited to, presses, punches, nibbler cutters, and co-bots and other robotic and automation equipment to form material to produce stock parts, including vacuum supports, tops, liners and other components as needed. This includes forming, cutting, trimming, filing, grinding, buffing, deburring, spot welding, assembly, marking of parts and other actions as needed.
  • Cut discs and rings using required tools & machinery.
  • Using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, dial indicators, gauges and micrometers, inspect parts for conformance to specifications and record data as needed.
  • Comply with company productivity and quality standards.
  • Operate a forklift when and as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need.
