Responsible for safely delivering and picking up parts and equipment from customers and clients in a timely, accurate, friendly, and professional manner; requiring skills in operating vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and regulations and the company’s Safe Driving Policy. Providing exemplary customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • Driving is essential to the position, must keep a current driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence. and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Checks with the parts manager, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
  • Delivers parts to body shop when needed and distributes to appropriate body technicians.
  • Collects COD delivery wholesale accounts.
  • Matches the payment with the invoice amount.
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Requests recipient’s signature on each delivery entry.
  • Unloads truck(s) and turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts at the end of every workday.
  • Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
  • Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
  • Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
  • Follows up on back-ordered parts.
  • Checks back-order files weekly.
  • Submit list to Parts manager for review.
  • Stock items not picked up or required.
  • Establishes and maintains logical locations for all parts and notes’ location in computer by part number.
  • Ensures Repair Shop BIN has a three-month rotation.
  • After the third month, pull parts from shelf and put in stock.
  • Submits paperwork to Parts Manager.
  • Ensures that areas of the parts department are properly stocked.
  • Picks up and/or delivers parts to designated accounts when instructed by the parts or service departments.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the parts department by disposing of used boxes and trash, sweeping floors, and dusting parts bins daily.
  • Crates all cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when part has been replaced.
  • Places daily parts orders when Parts Manager is not here.
  • Stocks and posts incoming orders.
  • Notify appropriate parties when special order parts arrive.
  • Checks in all orders.
  • Place in appropriate BIN location.
  • Returns cores in a timely manner and follows up for receipt of credit.
  • Ground Maintenance. Poison/cut weeds, Trim bushes/trees.
  • Fill oil bottles at the end of every day.
  • Keeps parts area clean and uncluttered.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Completes and remains current with all mandatory manufacturing, safety compliance, safeguards, and cybersecurity training.
  • Assists with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians. wholesale accounts, and over the counter customers.
  • Assists with the pre-assigned RO parts.
  • Assists in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory.
  • Assists in factory parts return.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager or Chief Operating Officer.
