About The Position

Parts Technician Student Transportation of America, doing business as Diversified Transportation, is actively seeking a Parts Technician to join our team in Winnemucca, Nevada. This role supports daily maintenance and fleet operations by managing parts inventory, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring shop readiness to support a diverse transportation fleet.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a parts, warehouse, or fleet support role
Parts distribution or inventory management experience required
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to read, interpret, and follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Ability to lift up 50 lbs
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a maintenance, transportation, or fleet environment preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Experience with fleet or inventory management systems considered an asset

Responsibilities

Ensure parts, commodities, and shop supplies are maintained at required inventory levels to support fleet operations
Process parts inquiries and coordinate charging of parts to work orders as required
Act as a liaison between the maintenance shop and suppliers to source and purchase required parts
Coordinate parts returns, credits, and billing activities
Maintain accurate parts warehouse inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts
Coordinate shipping and receiving of parts, tools and commodities
Distribute back-ordered parts and prepare requisition orders as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts room and work areas
Promote and adhere to safety guidelines and report hazards or issues as required
Support safe work practices and compliance with applicable policies and procedures
