About The Position

C & B Operations with 36 John Deere dealerships across 6 states has an opening for a Parts Specialist for our Miller, SD location. Our Parts Specialist is responsible for selling, receiving, and delivering parts and accessories. Our ideal candidates has excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude who is ready to meet or exceed the on-going needs of our customers. Prior parts sales experience and John Deere equipment knowledge is a plus. Fast paced environment, with outside sales development potential for the right individual. Will be expected to be a part of the on call rotation as needed during seasonal hours. Performs a variety of in-store customer service, marketing, promoting, advertising, and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale, and delivery of parts and accessories. Sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.Records sales and/or counter transactions.Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.Participates in all job-related training and development.Performs routine housekeeping tasks.Maintains condition of department vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic parts and machinery knowledge
  • Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
  • Qualified applicants must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior parts sales experience and John Deere equipment knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to operate a fork lift preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and sells products and/or services on and off-site to meet customer needs
  • Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
  • Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
  • Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
  • Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
  • Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
  • Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order
  • Sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
  • Records sales and/or counter transactions.
  • Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
  • Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
