Parts Specialist I/II - Fleet
About The Position
Processes requisitions and assists customers at the the parts counter. Places orders, receives inventory, and tracks inventory including parts and equipment for the fleet/facility. Confers with mechanics, technicians, and vendors regarding parts information and availability. Performs inventory control and warehousing activities involving manual labor and clerical duties. Assembles hydraulic hoses. Performs other duties as assigned. Note: The distinction between Level I and Level II in this series is that Level I employees work under close supervision and handle routine work of limited complexity until they gain sufficient knowledge and experience to work under general supervision.
Requirements
- Parts Specialist I: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and six (6) months of experience/training in automotive work, service consulting, parts counter work, warehousing, or other area that demonstrates the ability to perform the Parts Specialist I job successfully; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required.
- Parts Specialist II: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years of experience as an automobile or truck parts specialist or service consultant; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required.
