Parts Shipper/Receiver

Position Summary: Delivers and picks up parts and equipment from customers and vendors in a safe and timely manner. Assists the parts and service departments and provides timely shipment of orders and parts check-in.

Responsibilities
- Delivers to and picks up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, vendors and service technicians.
- Coordinates pick-up and deliveries when needed from internal customers (parts manager, body shop, wholesale representatives, inventory, parts counter people, shipping/receiving).
- Verifies that invoices match purchase orders and payments are received for each pick-up when applicable.
- Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, ensuring to obtain customer signature on each delivery entry.
- Acts as liaison between parts sales and customer.
- Communicates specials and promotions to customers.
- Unloads truck each night.
- Basic truck maintenance (filling gas tank, checking oil, keeping it clean, ensuring required inspections are performed) and advises Parts Manager of any major repairs and/or maintenance needed
- Assists with inventory stocking and posting orders upon arrival to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
- Crates all cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when part has been replaced.
- Effectively pick, package and ship products to customers and suppliers according to company process and standards.
- Inspect, check-in and stock shelves with incoming parts.
- Compare parts received against packing lists to verify accuracy of shipments received.
- Move heavy items with the help of forklifts, pallet jacks and wheel trucks
- Negotiate shipping rates with freight companies and couriers.
- Inspects forklifts daily and schedules maintenance and repairs.
