About The Position

Empire Truck Sales, LLC is one of the largest Freightliner & Western Star Heavy Truck Dealerships in the Southeast. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Parts Sales Trainee to assist with commercial vehicle/heavy truck parts sales to retail customers inside our dealership. The Parts Sales Trainee will begin employment in our warehouse with a career development path to counter sales.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License required with clean MVR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of computers and software such as Microsoft Office Suite and other web-based applications
  • Available to work business hours Monday through Friday
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Self-motivated and able to work well within a team environment
  • Must be able to lift weights up to 65 pounds; may be repetitive throughout shift
  • Able to learn to operate warehouse equipment
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the warehouse: bending, lifting, repetitive range of motion, and walking & standing for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is a great advantage
  • Automotive or Commercial Truck parts experience preferred
  • Some possible weekends
  • Willing and able to work Saturdays
  • Aftermarket experience a plus
  • Previous Forklift experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Parts support for retail customers
  • Participate in company training programs for career development
  • Maintain front counter retail displays
  • Load and unload inbound freight
  • Verify each piece of freight shipped or received
  • Sort and locate each part and place it in the proper warehouse location
  • Deliver parts to the service department as required
  • Drive delivery and pick-up in the surrounding areas
  • Ship freight/parts using various carriers
  • Maintain inventory cleanliness, accuracy, and organization
