As a Parts Sales Specialist, your typical responsibilities include greeting walk-in customers, responding to customer telephone calls and inquiries, selling products and/or services to meet customer needs, processing internal parts transfer requests, supplying Service Technicians with parts, assisting with merchandise displays, verifying receipting-in of shipments, assisting with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders, keeping the work area neat, maintaining department vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment, and participating in annual physical inventory. The company is seeking a friendly team player with an outstanding work ethic, a willingness to continue learning and growing personally and professionally, and someone who enjoys contributing to a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • John Deere Parts experience or 3+ years other parts experience, preferably automotive or other comparable equipment
  • Recent experience in a customer facing position with comparable volume
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification and safely operate forklift if/when required
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to utilize computer systems for parts look up, communication with customers and vendors- prior computer experience with CDK, online parts look up in automotive/equipment industry or comparable systems required
  • Basic math skills

Responsibilities

  • Greet walk-in customers, respond to customer telephone calls and inquiries, sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
  • Process internal (inter-company) parts transfer requests.
  • Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
  • Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
  • Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assist with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.
  • Keep work area and assigned warehouse areas neat, clean, and organized.
  • Maintains condition of department vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
  • Participate in (annual) physical inventory
