About The Position

Sells parts to existing customers and generates additional business at those customers; Develop new customer opportunities for parts sales through leads, cold calls, referrals etc. Drives company-supplied vehicle to and from Customer facilities and service vans. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and grows parts consignments at customer sites.
  • Make Sales calls to current and potential customers.
  • Develop new parts customers through referrals, cold calls, leads etc.
  • Communicates with customers and technicians on site, over the telephone, electronically and at their location regarding parts needs, inventories, technical inquiries, concerns, etc.
  • Compares descriptions, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
  • Maintain company supplied vehicle according to company rules and state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare appropriate call logs, quote logs and any other required documentation to track/analyze parts sales activities.
  • Compile list of prospective customers for use as Parts sales leads, based on information from capital equipment sales, ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, aged leads, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Maintains a safe work area and ensures compliance with OSHA rules and regulations. Ensures required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) is in good condition and accessible for the task at hand, including safety glasses, gloves, and shoes.
