About The Position

The Outside Parts Sales Representative at Kenworth is responsible for selling heavy and light-duty truck parts while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and seeking new business opportunities. This role requires a thorough understanding of the company's products and services, as well as the ability to provide excellent customer service and support.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, Associate's degree (AA) preferred
• Prior Sales experience
• Valid Drivers License
• Computer, mathematical and customer service skills
• Ability to sit throughout the day while driving to and from various customer locations; average longest single durations approximately 1.5 hours; must also sit while driving fork-lift for short periods of time
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8 - 12 hour days with frequent exposure to weather elements
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented and results driven

Responsibilities

• Sells heavy duty and/or light duty truck parts
• Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction among all assigned accounts
• Maintains thorough knowledge of all products and services sold by the company
• Cultivates assigned customer territories and accounts
• Conquests and grows new accounts
• Maintains liaison with important customers
• Promotes the sales of parts and accessories and advises wholesale or retail customers
• Solicits new business daily
• Completes product and sales training courses as assigned
• Maintains parts-related correspondence
• Keeps up to date on new products
