About The Position

This position is Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts working a combination of instore counter sales, and 1-2 days/week with local customers for both heavy duty truck parts and Kubota equipment parts sales. Instore: Responsible for working directly and/or indirectly with customers in Parts sales, following procedures to search and sell parts, and demonstrating teamwork with other departments and locations of the organization. Outside Parts Sales: This position necessitates determining, generating, and capturing sales outside the organization. The main task involves taking orders from existing customers and securing prospective non-member clientele by telephone communication or by visiting. It is essential for the position to provide effective detailed information on various products, programs, or services offered by the company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling appointments, meeting existing customers to review product requirements, and determining other opportunities.
  • Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers physically daily.
  • Designing professional demonstrations or presentations of company products or services while on-site.
  • Liaising between the company and the customers for up-to-date conditions on pricing, service, and latest product release launches.
  • Generating and developing non-member business accounts to increase revenue, through cold calling.
  • Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
  • Enhancing up-to-date knowledge of new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.
  • Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
  • Effectively attending conferences and trade shows.
  • Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
  • Organizing joint sale calls and attending them with vendors.
  • Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining expense accounts.
  • Performing updating and maintenance of accounts of customers including contact names and numbers for future sales.
  • Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
  • Ensuring follow-up after passing leads to managers with complete profile customer information, calls-to-action, sources, and dates.
  • Work with customers to determine parts and accessories needs and explore merchandise in catalogs.
  • Draw attention to any new merchandise, specials, and sales, as well as suggest supplementary products that may supplement the customer’s initial purchase.
  • Conduct telephone transactions courteously and promptly.
  • Inform customers and dealership staff when appropriate regarding any new merchandise, specials, and sales.
  • Take and fill orders for service technicians promptly and efficiently, helping service technicians as needed to determine which parts and accessories are required for each job.
  • Communicate with the service technicians to verify that your department is meeting their parts and accessories requirements.
  • Make suggestions when appropriate regarding specific parts and accessories that may be needed for each job.
  • Provide information regarding the associated cost of parts required on repair orders.
  • Keep inventory control system and parts catalog up to date.
  • Inform service personnel when back ordered or special-order parts are received.
  • Accept and follow through on lawful directions from supervisors.
  • Be polite and friendly, greet customers promptly and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Actively seek and obtain a thorough knowledge of parts history, merchandise and truck service.
  • Be able to communicate this knowledge as needed to adequately meet demands while maintaining good inventory turn ratios.
  • Work with the parts manager and aid in reaching set goals for profitability and sales of parts and accessories.
  • Work with multiple customers at once if needed while still providing individual customer satisfaction.
  • Keep customer mailing lists up to date.
  • Deal with customer complaints in a sensible manner by showing empathy and a pleasant attitude to show our commitment to excellent customer service and to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Be precise in all cash register transactions, taking accurate credit card and cash payments for purchases.
  • In accepting delivery of and processing merchandise from distributors, verify merchandise according to purchase invoice and record merchandise into inventory.
  • Prepare the product for presentation on the showroom floor.
  • Make sure that the merchandise displays are dusted, clean, fully stocked, and appealing to customers.
  • Become proficient and familiar with computer systems necessary for parts and accessories management.
  • Periodically carry out physical inventory of merchandise.
  • Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information.
  • Effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Special people skills in dealing with customers and an outbound personality.
