About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience Parts Runner to join our Phoenix, Arizona Team. Schedule: Monday - Friday. (8:00am – 4:30pm) Starting Pay: $20.00 Position Summary The Parts Runner supports the maintenance and operations teams by sourcing, delivering, and organizing parts and supplies needed to keep fleet and equipment running efficiently. This role requires strong organization, safe driving practices, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Ability to lift and carry parts and supplies up to 50 lbs.
Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Basic mechanical or automotive knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and materials between vendors, warehouses, and shop locations
Verify parts accuracy against work orders or purchase requests
Stage parts for mechanics and technicians based on daily repair priorities
Assist with receiving, labeling, and stocking parts in the parts room or inventory area
Maintain cleanliness and organization of parts storage areas
Communicate delays, shortages, or incorrect parts to the maintenance team
Complete basic documentation for parts deliveries and pickups
Operate company vehicles safely while following all safety and DOT guidelines (if applicable)
Assist with general shop support tasks as needed
