In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and organizing our parts and tools inventory - a critical piece of keeping our equipment and teams operating efficiently.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience working at parts counter, storeroom, tool room/crib or parts room.
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, and spreadsheets in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Familiar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versa
  • Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures
  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues

Nice To Haves

  • Previous plant production software experience required, SAP experience
  • Previous powered industrial truck experience
  • Experience using power and hand tools

Responsibilities

  • Recording, controlling, and monitoring inventory using our ERP production system (SAP experience a plus)
  • Receiving, storing, and expediting inventory items as needed
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for all parts and tools
  • Performing cycle counts and conducting root cause analysis for variances
  • Sending out parts for rebuild or repair and following up on their return
  • Unloading and delivering parts and tools using a forklift, lift truck, or pallet jack
  • Cleaning, assembling, and disassembling parts and tools as needed
  • Verifying shipments against Bills of Lading, invoices, or pick tickets
  • Reporting discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages
  • Ensuring all parts, tools, and equipment are safe and in working condition
