About The Position

As a Parts Quality Inspector you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of manufactured goods to ensure they meet established quality standards, technical drawings, and purchase order specifications. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical training or certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a quality inspector in aerospace or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9100,ISO9001, and strong working knowledge of FAA regulations.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and document deviations from specifications
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and quality assurance procedures.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting inspection results.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting thorough inspections of manufactured goods to ensure they meet established quality standards, technical drawings, and purchase order specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, gauges, CMM and tools to perform accurate measurements and assessments of parts.
  • Compare inspection results to established quality standards and identify any deviations or non-conformities.
  • Record inspection findings and maintain accurate records of inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions taken.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to address and resolve any quality-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining inspection procedures, checklists, and documentation to ensure consistent quality assessment.
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections to monitor quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on inspection results and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent quality defects and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Support internal audits and FAA surveillance activities as well as ensure all work performed complies with FAA regulations.
