About The Position

The Parts Planner accurately maintains the supply of specified parts and supplies through requisitioning, receiving, storing, and dispersing. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in SAP.
  • Experience with keeping accurate Inventory records.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and inventory management or SAP software, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a parts room, inventory control, or manufacturing setting preferred (2 years minimum).

Responsibilities

  • Compile data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and write, type, or enter information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.
  • Prepare requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
  • Compile stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
  • Compare stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
  • Review files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of motivation.
  • Housekeeping and safety.
  • Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Responsible for maintaining ISO standards in the conversion department.
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts, verifying the contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Responsible for cycle count of inventory within the parts room.
