About The Position

The position, Parts Department Planner 1, is responsible for the organization and control of the flow of materials through the manufacturing process, determining the root cause for shortages, and reconciling inventory. This position is also responsible for expediting shortages and creating, updating, and maintaining shop paper.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Six months of previous manufacturing experience

  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Monitor floor for shortages
  • Expedite shortages through purchasing, weld, and fabrication
  • Correct Bill of Materials (BOM) through the BOM query system
  • Exercise skills in location management
  • Gather components and parts needed for different stages of assembly (kitting)
  • Process and reconcile inventory
  • Possess the ability to read work orders/dispatch reports and follow oral instruction
  • Determine root cause for shortages
  • Assemble shop paper including build book & work order batching
  • Responsible for Change Order (PCO) distribution
  • Follow up on any issues
  • Raise potential issues to the appropriate level for disposition
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Regular attendance required
  • All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
