About The Position

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. is hiring a Parts Phone Sales (Corporate) representative to be based out of the Coburg, OR branch or other GTC facilities in the Pacific Northwest. A successful candidate is responsible for providing accurate and timely price quotes and other information to customers for all our store locations, using the Company telephone system, with a high degree of efficiency, and to sell heavy duty truck parts using parts manuals, both hard copy and electronic, with excellent customer service skills. Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: heavy duty truck dealership experience preferred;
  • Skills: Must be professional and safety minded at all times. Excellent communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Able to work with minimal supervision and direction. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • The Parts Phone Sales position is responsible for providing accurate and timely price quotes and other information to customers for all our store locations, using the Company telephone system, with a high degree of efficiency, and to sell heavy duty truck parts using parts manuals, both hard copy and electronic, with excellent customer service skills.
  • Locate available parts using identified resources for when the dealership is out of stock of requested parts.
  • Greet and assist customers with parts orders and questions using the Company telephone system.
  • Use and operate a multi-line telephone system, computer and computer programs (such as Microsoft Office, Excel, 10 key and typing) with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Invoice and process credit card transactions.
  • Manage workflow in a face-paced environment, with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage tasks in a well-organized and detail oriented manner.
  • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations.
  • Build relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
