About The Position

The role of the Parts Order Clerk II (Parts Lead) will be to maintain and monitor day to day duties for Parts Order Clerks. As a Parts Lead, you will also be responsible for coaching, training, implementing new procedures, and helping at other DC’s as needed. Additionally, the ideal Parts Lead will possess the knowledge of how to receive, process inventory, put away parts stock, work reports, communicate with vendors, answer phones, and distribute parts for merchandise carried by AFW.

Requirements

  • Basic computer knowledge, typing 20+ words per minute, and 10 key required.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Storis, Sales Force, dispatch track, and FedEx.
  • Superb interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (phone, email, text message, etc.).
  • Willingness to assist other departments and work as a team.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions as well as executing instructions in timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strategic planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in the absence of a manager.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on AFW’s success.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner.
  • Ability to navigate computer systems, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to regularly use computers for ordering, communication, documentation, scheduling, maintenance of organizational content on shared drives.
  • High School/GED
  • Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.
  • Requires manual dexterity, the ability to sit for long periods, grip, bend, stoop, twist, walk, reach, use a box knife, and use ladder/step stool for a minimum of 8 hours daily.
  • Requires continual use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
  • Requires the ability to lift, lower, push and pull, and operate a hand truck with all sizes of boxes and merchandise up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Requires the ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs of force to maneuver merchandize for parts verification, with assistance.

  • Follow written and verbal instruction.
  • Able to have a flexible schedule and work all scheduled shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Abide by all company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties assigned by management as directed.
  • Capable of punctual attendance.
