Requirements

Pre-employment screenings including background and drug test
Minimum 3+ years managing 5-10 people

Responsibilities

Hire, train, supervise, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.
Provide technical training and direction to parts department employees, including the current dealer management system.
Monitor parts department employees' payroll records.
Enforce safety requirements, including but not limited to forklift training and operation, processing of MSDS sheets on all products carried, and OSHA Right-to-Know.
Conduct weekly department meetings.
Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and the do-it-yourself public.
Oversee perpetual inventory counts to ensure that stock inventory is up to date.
Establish individual parts inventory levels and balance them for maximum turnover.
Ensure that parts inventory turns 4 times per year.
Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.
Organize and secure the Parts Department so parts are easily identifiable and accessible, including warranty and special-order parts.
Oversee stock order procedures and supervise parts department staff to ensure that all parts are properly tagged for the dealership to recover full credit from the factory.
Set and enforce a policy on the special ordering of parts.
Ensure parts are installed into the proper coach within 60 days.
Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory, monthly to maintain profit goals.
Ensure that the same high-quality level of service provided to outside customers is also provided to internal dealership customers, including communicating delays and progress of special part orders.
Work with the service manager and body shop manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
Analyze departmental operations and storage layout and revise as needed for maximum effectiveness.
Coordinate a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork.
Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing.
Develop, enforce, and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Solve customer complaints immediately with professionalism, and according to the dealership's guidelines.
Supervise that all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made.
Develop and utilize a lost sales tracking report and oversee the collection of past-due accounts.
Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales.
Supervise custodians to ensure that work area is kept clean and maintain professional appearance of the Parts Department.
Return phone calls, emails, and texts promptly.
