About The Position

The Parts Manager at Crash Champions is responsible for overseeing all aspects of parts ordering, delivery, and inventory management within the collision repair environment. This role ensures that parts are ordered accurately and efficiently, monitors their delivery status, and maintains quality control upon receipt. The Parts Manager also drives key performance indicators related to parts management and supports body technicians with their parts needs, while potentially leading a team of parts assistants.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience in a parts capacity in the automotive industry.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and work orders.
• Proficient knowledge and use of estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete all parts ordering, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate with parts vendors to order parts as needed.
• Partner with Repair Planners to ensure parts accuracy.
• Regularly track parts status and communicate with vendors as necessary.
• Receive and check in parts, ensuring they match repair orders.
• Inspect delivered parts for quality and report any damage immediately.
• Return incorrect parts to the vendor promptly.
• Monitor parts margin, pending credits, shop consumables inventory, and material spend.
• Coordinate parts invoicing and ensure accuracy in the estimating platform.
• Support Body Technicians with parts knowledge and reference materials.
• Lead the Parts Team, mentoring and directing activities if applicable.
