About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Mid-level Parts Management Specialist (Level 3) to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, WA. The Parts Management Specialist plays a key role in ensuring The Right Part at The Right Time at the Right Location with Perfect Quality and Safety. This role has the responsibility of ensuring accurate part status tracking, optimization of inventory stock levels, and problem resolution by using inventory management systems to minimize downtime and control costs while communicating with BDS internal stakeholders, supply chain partners, and leadership.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, operations, or program support with exposure to cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain project plans, trackers, and dashboards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize complex information into concise status updates and recommended next steps.
  • Proficiency with calendar systems and collaboration tools (`Outlook/Exchange`, `Teams`) and Microsoft Office (`Excel`, `PowerPoint`) or Google Workspace.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, work independently, and escalate appropriately.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production control, supply chain, or materials management teams.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Compass Contract
  • Experience with organizational alignment, change management, or business transformation activities.
  • Familiarity with data visualization/dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau) and basic data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery Support Tier and Program Meetings: Provide visibility of shortages and supplier recovery information
  • Data Analytics: Develop and manage program by program reporting, including shortage analysis,10-day outlook, PO on time delivery, etc.)
  • Grief Management: Integrate with key supply chain partners for grief management. Quality Grief, Supplier Quality, and NOE recovery: Coordinate with supply chain partners, SQ, QAI, around containment performing an RCCA, and identify quality improvement initiatives (recovery activity)
  • Inventory Management Responsible for utilization of inventory and coordination for the disposition of excess and obsolete inventory, including retention or surplus actions
  • Ensure organizational compliance with inventory management policies, contractual requirements, and governmental regulation
  • Monitor and audit inventory levels to ensure compliance
  • Manage safety stock levels through the utilization of PBoMAT
  • Shortage Management: Coordinate with Manufacturing, Fabrication and key supply chain partners to mitigate risk, impact, and to prevent reoccurrence
  • Data & Tools Maintain program metrics and produce concise status reporting and presentations for leadership. Support adoption and effective use of enterprise systems and collaboration tools required for program execution.
