About The Position

Assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring parts are moved though the production process efficiently and checked for quality. This includes line loading, visual inspection, and sorting. The role involves safely operating pallet jacks to lift and transfer materials, supplying components to hoppers, indexing poles or conveyors, loading parts from baskets to machine conveyors, removing finished parts from machines, inspecting and packing them properly, and visually inspecting components for defects, sorting, and disassembling defect parts.

Requirements

Able to read, write and speak English well enough to successfully pass safety training.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers.
Ability to follow instructions.
Concentrate on a task over several minutes without being distracted.
Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
Minimum 40-hour workweek.
Sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.

Responsibilities

Follow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
Safely operate pallet jacks to lift and transfer materials from one place to another.
Supply components to hoppers, indexing poles or conveyors.
Load parts from the basket to machine conveyor.
Remove finished parts from the machines.
Inspect as necessary and pack properly.
Visually inspect components and parts for defects, sort and disassemble defect parts.
Other duties as assigned.
