The Parts & Instruments Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory strategy, operational performance, and service delivery for the North America Parts Distribution Warehouse. This role ensures alignment with customer requirements and North America World Area business objectives. The manager leads a team responsible for quotations, material sourcing, quality assurance, and the management of warehouse and shipping operations, delivering exceptional reliability, responsiveness, and service to the Flow Controls organization and its customers. Essential Job Functions In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Operational Planning Implement programs that support Fisher parts sales growth and meet profitability objectives. Serve as the P&L owner for the North America Parts Warehouse and the Fisher Instruments business. Ensure operational processes—including warehouse, shipping, materials management, customer service, and finance-related activities—support customer expectations and organizational goals. Align operational plans with cross-functional partners to ensure seamless order fulfillment, accurate financial performance, and a strong customer experience. Collaborate with Global Parts teams, Fisher Lifecycle Services, Emerson Impact Partners, and other world areas to support parts delivery and operational alignment across the North America Parts Warehouse and Fisher Instruments business. Business Analytics & Continuous Improvement Recommend resource allocations, automation opportunities, and process improvements to enhance quotation turnaround, supply chain performance, warehouse efficiency, and product quality. Communicate supply chain and quality improvement opportunities to Global Supply Chain and Quality teams. Monitor and optimize inventory levels to meet customer service targets while achieving ITO goals. Analyze performance variances and implement corrective actions to maintain operational excellence. Maintain strong communication channels with internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Leadership Develop, coach, and mentor team members to support professional growth and career advancement. Assign and manage daily responsibilities to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality execution. Promote a professional, collaborative, and accountable team environment. Partner closely with Finance, Materials, and Customer Service teams to ensure accurate forecasting, efficient material flow, strong service levels, and alignment with financial and operational objectives. Training & Communication Delegate daily sourcing, warehouse, shipping, and quality activities while maintaining oversight. Provide structured training, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to established processes. Participate in business reviews, planning sessions, and cross-functional meetings to align operational priorities.
