Requirements

  • 2+ year aviation maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated ability/experience reading, understanding and interpreting blueprints, technical diagrams, and symbols
  • 1+ years aviation quality control experience
  • Willingness to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity or previous experience using Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and Blue Light technology
  • Using hand tools to perform inspection work
  • Previous experience using optical measurement systems

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform dimensional and visual inspections to check a variety of completed, in-process parts, and assemblies.
  • Work from general instructions, using methods and relatable data to inspect standard parts, assemblies, and tools which have a limited number of related characteristics, features, and details.
  • Conduct inspection sequences and layouts to use a variety of precision measuring instruments and equipment.
  • Use shop mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and handbook formulae.
  • Visually inspect parts and assemblies to ensure that surfaces are free from defects and details are properly assembled.
  • Accept parts, assemblies, and tools meeting specifications.
  • Prepare various reports that cover all necessary elements to show part variations/deviations.
  • Comply with the correct operation, care, use, inventory, and storage of equipment to include house keeping and safe working practices.
  • Perform other related work of a comparable or lower skill level as required to facilitate inspection operations.
